Well, you are probably wondering what on earth is what to wear wednesdays huh?  Well, let me tell you.  Time permitting this will happen every Wednesday.  I have some of my very favorite fashionistas working away finding some great outfits, patterns and styles to share with you. Why?  Well….because the number one question I get from my clients is “what should I/We wear for our session.  Generally, my first response is anything goes, which certainly remains true, but honestly there are some rules of thumb, and combinations that in the end just make for a more pleasing modern portrait.  This week we are going to start “what to wear wednesdays” with siblings.  Boys and girls.  How do you dress boy/girl siblings for their portraits to achieve a really cool style.  First of all…and I cannot say this enough…don’t do matchy matchy.  It just, in my opinion of course, doesn’t have that same end result.  Giving each person their own identity and personality while still looking very much like a unit.  Does this make sense?  The best way to handle this is “DON’T BE AFRAID!”….mix like colors, combinations of the same color and patterns.  It’s OK to think out of the box.  Choose clothing that is reflective your each child’s personality and individual style and mix it up!!!!!!  Don’t forget the footwear, and accessories.  They make a huge difference from nice to FABULOUS!!!!  Here are some very simple clothing choices that I have  pulled for you to see how different patterns and combinations really work together.  Let me know what you think!!!!
