I had the unique pleasure last week of photographing Simone, Brendan, Zach and Emma before Mason High School’s Prom. What a treat. Who doesn’t love the whole idea of getting dressed in a fabulous gown, having your hair done, make up…simply perfection…boys in tuxedos, bringing with them beautiful corsages for their perfect dates. It’s very easy to get caught up in the fun, and I certainly did!!!! (and the fun when ALL NIGHT LONG…as I volunteered again this year for Mason High School’ After Prom Event) Did you know that unlike when I was a girl and a corsage was attached to an ugly piece of elastic band that they now are gorgeous! The flowers are attached to a beaded bracelet you get to keep. How cool is that? I really do love prom….loved going, and still love seeing the kids morph in to the “glamorous” them…know what I mean?? Somehow the hair, dress and make-up matures…if even only for the evening. I got to Simone’s home and had a chance to photograph her. I have never seen her quite so stunning, breath taking really. She looked so beautiful, and so much more grown up than the photos all over her home (such a sweet little girl). Brendan came shortly there after looking absolutely dashing, and obviously thought his date looked pretty good too! Smiles all around. I loved seeing all the parent’s reactions as well. Photographing them was really fun! Then along came Zach and Emma. Stunning as well! I hope you all had an amazing time at prom, and Brendan and Zach……I cannot believe you are graduating! I feel like I can say I knew you when! Simone…I can’t wait to take your senior pictures…now more than ever. Thank you for letting me be a big part of this day with you! It was a lot of fun!!!!
